Approximate Weighting of the Global History & Geography Regents  50 multiple-choice items (55%)  1 thematic essay (15%)  1 document-based question (DBQ) essay with Scaffolded questions (15%) and essay (15%) Notes:  5 point thematic rubric and 5 point DBQ rubric  No choice, students must answer all items  The number of DBQ Scaffolded questions vary from test to test (Usually 12 to 14)

Scoring Strategy  25 correct out of 50 Multiple Choice Questions (50%)  The higher the correct # the better – Shoot for 30-35% at minimum  DBQ Scaffold Questions – All Correct 12 or 13 Correct  This gives you a score of 38 before the essay starts.
