1 Friday – May 8, 2015 Mr. Lombardi Do Now: Think back to Parts I-III of the Regents exam from this week. How do you think you did on the: Multiple choice? Thematic essay? Document answers? DBQ essay? What do you think your overall grade would have been? Explain. Aim: How is the Regents exam graded? Countdown to the GLOBAL HISTORY & GEOGRAPHY Regents Classes left:Days left: 2342

2 Finding out your Regents grade… Put an “x” next to any incorrect answers. Count how many questions were incorrect. Subtract the amount incorrect from the total number of questions (50). Write that new number under your answers. – For example, if you got 17 questions wrong, you will write a large “33” under your answers. If you did not take the multiple choice on Tuesday, divide your usual multiple choice exam average in half and use that number.

5 Finding out your Regents grade… Re-read the essay theme and task. Read the NYS Regents anchor paper. Read the Regents’ suggested score and rationale. Re-read your own thematic essay. Based on the Regents scoring rubric, what score do you honestly think your essay deserves? Write that number at the end of your essay in the Essay Booklet. If you were not here for the thematic essay, use your average thematic essay score.
