Students will understand that a person’s cultural background affects many aspects of their life. Unit 2: Nuestro Mundo Students will be able to map out a trip to a Spanish Speaking destination. Students will understand that different parts of the world contain vast differences as well as close similarities. Unit 3: ¿Quién soy yo? Students will be able to describe themselves their feelings, and their likes and dislikes. Students will understand the significant impact Spanish speaking countries have on their lives.

8vo grado Unit 1: ¿Quiénes somos? Students will be able to describe themselves, their families and friends and their likes and dislikes. Students will understand the significant impact Spanish speaking countries have on the United States. Unit 2: Nuestro Mundo Students will be able to discuss their daily life and compare their world to that of teens from Latin America. Students will understand and appreciate the uniqueness of all cultures. Unit 3: El Mercado y las compras Students will be able to discuss what they do, wear and buy in different settings.
