had to do something to save the people on the planet. There are so many people on the earth, and there was so much pollution, that the only way to keep the planet from dying was to send people into space. My family was one of the those ones. About one third of the earth’s population was left back

home, and the rest of us went into space. We’re now living in a new city on the planet Mars. Life here is very nice, and we are happy in our new home. We still keep in touch with the people on earth and some of us go back for short visits. The earth is better now, and the people back home are doing their best to clean

up the planet. I was born here on Mars and I’ve never been to earth. My grandparents and parents tell me about the earth and it sounds like a beautiful place. When my science teacher told me that we could use our school’s time machine to send messages to the past, I
