JOHN DEERE  In 1836 he invented a lightweight plow with a steel cutting edge  He was born February 7 th in 1804  He died at may 16 th 1886

CYRUS MCCORMICK  In 1834 he invented the reaper   Cyrus Made the reaper to increase the amount of crops

 It separated Kernels of wheat from Husks  It cut grain  This fed Factory workers  This led to expansion of slavery in the south  It had a steel cutting edge  Older cast-iron plows were designed for the light, sandy soil of New England  This invention slowed down farmers from harvesting crops THE INVENTIONS Reaper (Cyrus McCormick) Cast Iron Plows (John Deere)
