Role of people Mountain gorillas are killed for many different reasons: 1. their meat 2. to steal the babies 3. sell the parts as souvenirs 4. killed for heads and hands (hands used as ashtrays) Some efforts by people to save mountain gorillas: 1. Mountain Gorilla Project in Rwanda and other groups formed to save the mountain gorilla 2. International Gorilla Conservation Program set up to save few remaining gorillas
