2. T h i s i s T e d d y ! ! ! Teddy is a baby Polar bear. Polar bears are a threatened species. I picked the polar bear because I thought that they are so cute and fluffy. ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

3. Where are they found??? Polar bears are usually found in and around the acetic circle. They have been know to be found evidence that they have been in as far from there home as James Bay, Canada.

4. What hunts polar bears??? Polar bears are hunted by people.  People hunt polar bears for three reasons. 1. Meat 2. Their fats 3. Their fur

5. How will not having this organism affect the environment? Polar bears mostly hunt seals for their lives. Because polar bears hunt the seals they keep the seals population down. If they didn’t hunt them then the seal population would be REALLY high and we wouldn’t want that. I think if that happened a lot of the fish would disappear form the seals eating all of them. There would just be to many seals and not enough fish to feed said seals.

6. How does having polar bears affect the environment? By keeping the seal population lower in their environment, I think that is good. You cant have to many seals or stuff would start to happen like the seals would be over populated.

7. What is being done to protect the polar bears? The polar bears are a threatened species. That means that they are on the endangered list. I think it is mostly illegal to hunt and kill them for game. Other people in the U.S. are spreading awareness to other people. The money they make for them polar bears it help them. In the wild life conservations they can raise babies that have lost their mothers then when they grow up they can set them free.

8. What needs to be done to increase the numbers of this organism in the environment? Many people are helping the polar bears. You can do a lot by making a donation. The conservation is a good idea. What they do is raise the polar bears then if they cant the send them back into the wild where they found them. people releasing a polar bear back into the wild.

9. How did polar bears become endangered or extinct? The polar bears live on large ice called ice caps. The website( www.savebiogems.org/polar/ )says that… the polar bear population is dyeing because of global worming. The ice caps are melting and so the polar bears swim. The polar bears sometimes end up drowning because of the long swim.
