In July, 1902, Korea-Denmark signed ‘Treaty of Friendship, Commerce and Navigation’, which was the last treaty of this kind the Great Kingdom of Korea ever concluded. This was the start of the official relations between the two governments.

However, in Nov. 1905, our diplomatic right was taken over to Japan, thus suspending the official relations between Korea and Denmark. (Eulsa Annexation Treaty) Japan’s Rise as a Regional Power
