Death in relation to Terminating Life By: Blake Higgins

Background Death is not the same as terminating life, but it has the same outcome. When someone terminates some one else's life (or kills them)it is usually for a medical reason. Death is when your brain stops working by natural causes. The termination of life could be someone was killed by another person or an accident.

Death Death is when your heart stops beating permanently. Your brain is dead. Your body and organs stop from a natural cause, not by murder or suicide. Dead by old age, cancer, sickness, or any other natural cause not by another person or animal.

Terminating Life Terminating life is killing someone. Not always murder but someone is killed. Could be shot (murdered). Taken off of life support. Abortion. Any form of killing by unnatural causes.

Terminating Life In a hospital when a patient wants off life support they have to know the consequences and be able to tell the doctor in person. If they cant then these people can make a decision to stop treatment and take the person off of life support. Legal guardian with health care decision-making authority Individual given durable power of attorney for health care decisions Spouse Adult children of patient (all in agreement) Parents of patient Adult siblings of patient (all in agreement)

My Opinion-Bad Killing someone is NOT ok! If the family does not want to take a person off of life support then you should not be able too. Killing is a crime. Even though a doctor might take you off of medication because its not helping is still wrong. If the family doesn’t want them taken off.

My opinion-Good I think that in some cases death is a good thing. Also that terminating life can be ok in some cases such as. When someone is brain dead and is only alive by life support. Or some other disease is killing them and they are only alive by life support. If a person is suffering from a severe injury. Terminating of life is a sad thing but, sometimes is necessary.

Relations Both leave family and friends sad. Both leave a person dead. One is caused by someone else. The other is natural, either by sickness or old age.

Conclusion In conclusion Death is caused by natural things, termination of life is when someone is either murdered, killed, or any other form not caused by natural events. Natural things such as illness or old age. In someone being killed there is murder, accidents, taken off of life support, and any other form like these.
