We have many specialists, because from inheritance from older times. Now the proportion is decreasing.

As you see one dentists doesn’t get even one assistant, but now Lithuanian dental chamber offered reskiling dental assistants assistant in a short time.

 Ministry of Health of Republic of Lithuania  Medical audit institution  National health insurance fund  Lithuanian dental chamber  Courts  Administration of clinics

 All specialists are required to undertake the set amount of hours of continuing professional development over a five-year period.  Dentist at least 120 hours  Dental technicians at least 60 hours  Oral hygienists at least 60 hours  Dental assistants at least 50 hours

 Compulsary hours : medical emergencies (at least 2 hours per 5 years) disinfection and decontamination (at least 2 hours per 5 years) medical ethics (at least 2 hours per 5 years) prophylaxis of oral diseases (at least 2 hours per 5 years) These hours are counted into required hours
