Decision as to whether to place Child(s) name on Highland Council Child Protection Register based on whether reasonable grounds to believe or suspect that a child has suffered or will suffer abuse or neglect, and a Child Protection Plan is needed to protect and support the child (including unborn children). The Child Protection Register has no legal status – Merely alerts practitioners that there is sufficient professional concern about a child to warrant an inter-agency Child Protection Plan.
