Palace Guards  During summer, the guards in front of Buckingham Palace are changed at in a colourful ceremony.

Bobbies  Police constables in Britain are often known as „bobbies“.  The nickname bobbies comes from Robert Peel own name. Robert Peel, then Home Secretary, founded the Metropolitan Police Force in 1829.

Post box  There are still a few Victorian post boxes in London.

Telephone box  Traditional red telephone boxes.  You can find them on street corners and in stations.

Taxi cab  Traditionally, London´s licensed taxi cabs were black.  There are black taxi cabs in London.

Double deck bus  It si one of the best known symbols of London.  It was developed between 1947 and 1956 to replace the troleybuses.  It was first introduced in 1956.
