The 14 th Amendment was passed in 1868 The 15 th Amendment was passed in 1870.

` The 14 th Amendment was ratified on July 9 th,  It granted citizenship to “all persons born or naturalized in the united States,” which included former slaves, and were recently freed. APUSH | Primary Source Document Project Historical Context 14 th Amendment

The 15 th Amendment was passed by Congress on February 26 th,  Ratified on February 3 rd,1870. This Amendment granted African American Men the right to vote. APUSH | Primary Source Document Project Historical Context 15 th Amendment

The primary audience is all people who are born within the United States or people who are admitted citizenship.  Naturalization. o The process in which a foreign citizen is granted citizenship by completing a set of requirements.
