The case for permanent, supportive housing for homeless adults in our Seattle community

There are about 814 chronically homeless adults in King County Why are people chronically homeless? There are many complex reasons, including: Mental and physical illness Age and lack of employment options Chemical dependency Childhood abuse Poverty Trauma and PTSD Limited social safety net Source: 2016 King County One Night Count Data. How does Plymouth help? “Housing First” lowers barriers to getting and staying housed Permanent housing with 24/7 on-site support services Specialized programs 35 years of experience building & managing low-income housing Increased housing stock available to the “hardest to serve” by opening a new building every months

Housing saves lives and money In a published public health study, 29 high utilizers of medical & emergency services who came to live at Plymouth saved King County’s health system $62,504 per person in just one year – a total savings of $1.8 million.
