Have you ever been to India? Present Perfect Tense Usage : when we talk about a time from the past until now. For example, person’s life. Have you ever been to India? Structure: Have / Has + the past participle of the verb a) Regular past participles are the same as the past form and end in -ed: used, finished, tried. b) Many verbs have irregular past participles: been, gone, seen, done.

Present Perfect Tense Key words= Signals= Time expressions: Just (a short time ago) Never Ever( in question) Yet (until now) it comes with questions and negative sentences and it’s usually at the end of the question or a negative sentence. Already (before you expected or I expected) For (two days, an hour, three months, two weeks, one year) Since (Monday-Saturday..etc-two O’clock- 09:30pm- January….December-1998, 2012)

Comparison (Since-For-ago) We use since and for to say how long Since (the start of the period) Ex. I have lived in London since I was ten years old- She has been in Southampton since 2005.
