All rights reserved. 0114ccn Practicum Application 6 Before you can start classes you must identify a practicum site –Preceptor identification is recommended, but not required until 120 days before your first practicum –Identifying a preceptor first may make securing a site easier –Identify site based on your first two practicum courses, NR-511 and NR-601 (family practice or retail clinic) Fill out Practicum Application as instructed by your admissions representative

The practicum site and what patient population it serves Even if a site offers the correct patient exposure there still needs to be a preceptor who is willing to precept you and meets the requirements Consider preceptor requirements You will be completing many practicum hours in addition to your typical coursework expectations and other life responsibilities Scheduling and time management 10
