SEA TURTLES There are a lot of different types of turtles. Depending on where they live, turtles can be sorted into two groups- sea turtles and fresh water turtles. Turtles are reptiles and can live on land or in the water.

JELLYFISH Jellyfish are found in all oceans. They can be large and bight colored. Some jellyfish look invisible and some you can see-through. Jellyfish eat plankton. Some sea turtles eat jellyfish.

SHARK Sharks were on he earth before dinosaurs. There are over 400 types of sharks. Sharks are the top predators in the ocean.

STARFISH Starfish are also called sea star. Starfish only live in the ocean, they can not live in fresh water. Despite its name it is not a fish. Starfish come in many different colors and patterns.

STINGRAY Stingrays can grow to 6.5 feet in length and weight 790 pounds. Their eyes are located on the top of the head. Stingrays use spine and venom to protect against predators.

DOLPHIN Dolphins are not fish they are mammals just like you and me. They breathe air, give birth to live young, and nurse their babies with milk.

FISH There are over 30,000 different types of fish. Fish have gills and get oxygen from the water around them. Cleaner fish help other fish by removing the dead skin from their bodies.

OCTOPUS Octopuses have eight long arms with suction cups. They also have three hearts. Octopuses have short life spans, some can only live up to 6 months.

WHALE Whales are mammals that can breathe air into their lungs through their blowholes. The whales blowhole is located on the top of their head so that animal can remain underwater.

SEAL There are 32 species of seals. The largest seal can grow up to about 13 feet in length and more than 2 tons in weight. The smallest species grows to up to about 4 feet long and 65 pounds.
