When you start this PowerPoint file you may be asked to ‘enable macros’ before you continue – you must do this to enable the game to operate. Separate your group into 5 teams and ensure that they know which group name that they have (1 to 5). Explain the rules of the game by showing them the first 3 slides of this PowerPoint file. Show the first 4 word phrase. Allow teams to discuss. If they feel that they know the key phrase they must declare it to you and the rest of the class. You can reveal the rest of the definition and the key phrase by clicking on the appropriate boxes. If the team are correct you can award them 4 points. Click on the ‘+4’ button for team 1. If they did not know the key phrase from the first 4 words allow them to see the whole definition (by clicking once on the space bar). They must declare their answer. Reveal the key phrase – if they are right you can award them 2 points by clicking on the ‘+2’ button. To move on to the next key phrase and team 2 click on the ‘Next’ button. Repeat this process until all 15 key phrases have been done.
