Instructions for using this template. Remember this is Jeopardy, so where I have written “Answer” this is the prompt the students will see, and where I have “Question” should be the student’s response. To enter your questions and answers, click once on the text on the slide, then highlight and just type over what’s there to replace it. If you hit Delete or Backspace, it sometimes makes the text box disappear. When clicking on the slide to move to the next appropriate slide, be sure you see the hand, not the arrow. (If you put your cursor over a text box, it will be an arrow and WILL NOT take you to the right location.)

The cell on a worksheet where your data will show up as you type.

What is the active cell?

Box in the upper left hand corner of Excel that lists that cell reference of the active cell.

What is the Name Box?

A group of worksheets.

What is a workbook?

The main software the computer uses.

What is the operating system?

Printed out versions of a file.

What is a hard copy?

The program the computer runs, can be electronically replaced.

What is software?

The network of millions of computers.

What is the internet?

The software application used to locate and use web pages.

What is the Internet Browser?

The default view in PowerPoint.

What is Normal View?

What are the three parts of the Ribbon?

The option that shows on your screen how the document or worksheet will print.

What is Print Preview?

How to display a mini toolbar and shortcut menu on any text or cell.

What is Right- Click?

The key that allows you to select a continuous group of cells or files when used with the mouse.

Group of cells.

What is the range?

Formatting in Excel that adds a $ sign and comma to your number.

What is Accounting Number Format ($)?

Formula used to add a range of cells.

Symbol used to denote division in Excel’s formulas.

Formula typed in a cell that will list out the location and file name.
