What does a Civil Engineer do?

Plans, designs, and directs projects such as roads, railroads, airports, bridges, harbors, channels, dams, irrigation systems, pipelines, and power plants: Analyzes reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, tests, and aerial photographs of the land to plan and design projects. Calculates cost and determines if the project is possible. Civil Engineers
