8-7 Transformation Objective: Students recognize, describe, and show transformation.

Vocabulary  transformation- changes the position or orientation of a figure.  image- result of transformation, the image is congruent to the original figure.

TranslationReflectionRotation A translation slides a figure along a line without turning it. A reflection flips a figure across a line to create a mirror image. A rotation turns a figure around a point, called the center of rotation. Vocabulary
