Mexican Business Council for Foreign Trade, Investment and Technology COMCE 2012

Who we are  The Mexican Business Council for Foreign Trade, Investment & Technology (COMCE) was created by initiative of the Business Coordinating Council (CCE) as a business leading organization to promote foreign trade, investment and technology transfer.  COMCE is a private, non-profit organization representing the Mexican business sector in the international area.  COMCE bases its operation in more than 60 bilateral business committees that deal with maintaining and developing the objectives of COMCE with any given country. Bilateral business committees are composed of business leaders with extensive international experience, which aims to promote the business interests of Mexico in the respective country.

Profile and Mission  It plays a leading role in the promotion and implementation of policies designed to help Mexican companies insert effectively into globalization.  Promotes Mexican exports, foreign direct investment to Mexico and technology transfer and development.  Create and develop business relationships with similar organizations abroad as an efficient instrument to unify international policies and actions of the Mexican private sector.

COMCE in the BCC Excerpt of the Collaboration Agreement signed among COMCE and the organizations that integrate the BCC: “The business organizations that integrate the Business Coordinating Council (BCC) amply recognize COMCE as the only business institution in foreign trade, promotion of foreign investment and transfer of technology.”

The International Sections group and coordinate the efforts of the Bilateral Business Committees. We currently have more than 60 Committees integrated by business leaders with broad international experience in an specific country. In all of them we have invited the Embassy of that particular country, as well as the Chamber of Commerce to participate. The activity is directed to analyze, propose and develop projects that aim to consolidate the economic relations of Mexico with the rest of the world. Each Committee has signed a Partnership Agreement with a business organization of the corresponding country. Such an organization has been selected because of the representation level it has within the private sector of its own country. The institutional relation with our counterparts helps us open the necessary doors in order to promote and help the members of COMCE.

COMCE Nationwide COMCE has representation in 27 States, with 1 main office (Mexico City), 4 Regional chapters and 22 State chapters. These organizations are integrated by well known local businessmen who aim to promote foreign trade and foreign investment in their respective States. Always counting with the support of State Governments. And benefiting from COMCE’s international contacts.

COMCE´s Services International Promotion: - We promote our members through a relationship with our counterparts in more than 60 countries. -At COMCE we are convinced that the commercial development of Mexico is based in the success of each individual company. -Activities business missions abroad, promotion of fairs & exhibitions Congress: - For 19 years now, the Mexican Foreign Trade Congress that COMCE organizes has become the most important event in Foreign Trade in Mexico. - It is during the annual Congress that the National Export Award ceremony is organized. The award is presented by the President of Mexico to the winning companies. IT Systems: - COMCE offers its members several services on line such as job vacancies specialized in Foreign Trade executives, an electronic library with a wide variety of documents, promotion of export products, promotion of services for exporters, information about trade fairs and exhibitions, and more.

COMCE´s Services Committees: - More than 60 Bilateral Committees and the Technical Committees, all integrated by professionals and businessmen, set the course that COMCE follows in its different activities. Technical Services: - COMCE offers services such as specialized advise, CASCEM, foreign trade audit, Pre-validation of Customs Declarations, and the necessary support to facilitate the international operation of its members. Value Added Agreements: - Several members of COMCE offer their products and services in preferential conditions for the rest of the members. Special Events: -COMCE organizes events with the main objective that our members find more and better forms to do business. -- Breakfast Meetings - Networking - Digital Meetings and Webinars
