APK: What do we already know? Number Forms 1.Standard Form- number forms Ex: , Expanded Form- showing the number as a sum of the value of its digits. Ex: /10+2/100 and 2, /10 3. Written Form- writing a number using words. Ex: three hundred fifty-seven and twelve hundredths two thousand, eight hundred seventy-one and three tenths

Super Expanded Form Super Expanded Form is another way to write expanded form. Super Expanded Form uses parentheses to show values of digits in a multiplication sentence. Super Expanded Form uses multiplication and addition to show E (X P A N D E D) + F (O R M).

You Do : Expanded Form Write in expanded form /10 + 7/ /1000

I DO : Super Expanded Form Write in Super Expanded Form. 5( ) 6( ) 2( ) 9( ) 3( ) 5(10) 6(1) 2(1/10) 9(1/100) 3(1/1000) 5(10) + 6(1) + 2(1/10) + 9(1/100) + 3(1/1000) Step 1: Write the digits from each place to the left of a parentheses. Step 2: Write the place value inside the parentheses. Step 3: Add the plus signs between the parentheses. Reminder! Any digit to the left of a parentheses shows a multiplication sentence.
