ICPDR Standing WG Meeting June 2013, Sarajevo 09/12/2013Vienna, 6th SG Meeting The EUSDR and ICPDR (Pillar II presentation) Resolutions (1/2) EUSDR The Standing Working Group a) takes note of the ongoing discussions of linking the forthcoming funding programs with macro regional strategies, i.e. the EU Danube Strategy; b) highlights the importance of the ICPDR activities/projects to achieve the targets defined within the Danube Strategy, moreover in Pillar B and the Priority Areas 4, 5 and 6; c) highlights the significant role of EU funding programmes, in particular the forthcoming Danube Transnational Cooperation Programme, for the further strategic development of the water management in the Danube Region; d) asks the European Commission and relevant Committees working on the elaboration of the forthcoming funding programmes to provide special status to priority projects agreed by the ICPDR contracting parties.
