In my family, we always speak our national language-Māori. When we go, we speak Māori before we go to school, for example. In New Zealand we use the word kiora. And in the morning we use the word, morena. We also use different words to describe things.

Something I wear on a special occasion  On a special day I wear a puipui, that’s made out of flax, I wear a woven top piece, cloak and a skirt. When were finish our performance we do a PUKANA. This is what I wear on a special occasion. This is what we wear when we do a competition its called a Matatini. This is what women and young laddies wear. This is what the men wear.

Food I eat  Sushi, Indian and Italian foods.  For lunch at school: sandwich, fruit, muslibar and a cookie if we have any.  At home: meat and veg’s most of the time Italian foodIndian food Sushi
