TTT – Part One What is interesting and notable about your assigned dynasty? 1.Read the intro for your dynasty (can find in Public/Maners folder)Public/Maners a.Take notes 2.Find 1-2 sources from SHS Databases a.Take notes AND cite your sources or print out & attach article to notes! – Your homework is to show me your notes on both Thursday (2/25)

What to focus on for your TTT… General Prompt: What is interesting and notable about your assigned dynasty? Relevant Unit Questions: Physical: What is the impact of physical geography on Chinese history? Religion: What is more important: the needs of the individual or the needs of society? – How should we behave in order to create an orderly society? – Is it more important to have order, or freedom? Government (Dynastic System): What is authority based on? – What is power? – Why do some people have power over others? How does power change hands? Education: How do you measure learning and merit? – How do societies pass on values and knowledge? Defense: How did Asian nations respond to European colonization attempts?

TTT – Part Two  Why would time travelers want to live in your dynasty’s time period?  Make the informative poster that includes the following: 15 Points 1. Focuses on relevant Unit Questions (previous slide) 2. Major People and Events 3. 8 Cultural Universals 4. Geography (interaction between humans and environment) 5. Interesting connections to present day society 5 Points 6. Appealing: a slogan, visuals, and propaganda techniques
