Today’s Bellringer Fix the following sentence errors: Smoke are filing the house and we have to git out now

Copy these definitions into your English notebook. Verbs 1.Helping Verb- when there are two or more verbs, the verb in front is known as the helping verb, and the last verb is the main verb. Formula- Helping verb + main verb =verb phrase Ex. Mosquitos were buzzing around my head.

2. Not Adverb- The helping verb can be split from the main verb by the adverb NOT. The adverb not is ALWAYS an adverb telling how. Ex. We are not going home.

3.) Question Verb- When the helping verb is at the beginning of the sentence (in a question), the subject will always come between the helping verb and main verb. Ex. Are you going home? (Put it in a statement) You are going home.
