Gloria Fuertes de Jaén (Jaén) PROYECTO BILINGÜE AÑO 0 - Curso 2.009/2.010 Coordinadora : Amparo Herrador Quero Auxiliar : Mikol Hoffman Rembalsky THIRD TERM May -Sleeping Beauty Musical Theater. Students attended an English-language production of Sleeping Beauty. Before going to the theater, students learned the story and songs in English. -Mothers Day. Students created a certificate to give to their mothers thanking them for their love. -Europe Day, the 9 th of May. To celebrate Europe Day, students learned facts about the EU from a colourful poster. They sang the European Anthem, Ode to Joy, and completed a worksheet testing their knowledge. Gabrielle, Johanna´s American friend, visited the school and helped teach the lesson. -Julia´s Wedding Day. Students will complete a wedding-themed activity sheet telling the story of Julia´s Wedding, the real-life tale of the marriage of a former auxiliar. The sheet emphasizes congratulatory vocabulary like Have fun! and Have a nice day! -Tongue Twisters. This month students will learn Fuzzy Wuzzy, a comical tongue twister about a bear with no hair. It focuses on the phonetic differences between the letter Z in English and in Spanish -Crazy Animal Rhymes. Students will practice their pronunciation and increase their excitement about learning English. May´s rhymes are The tiny tiger tells tales to turtles and The lazy leopard likes lemon lollipops. -Unit 5: The Universe (Science and Physical Education)
