“Human Heartbeat to Charge Mobile phone in the near future” - NEW WIRELESS CHARGING

CONTENTS Introduction Description Advantages Applications Conclusion References

Introduction Mobile phones becoming a basic part of life, the recharging of mobile phone batteries has always been a problem. Scientists have developed a tiny chip that can generate power by using the body’s own movement, a technology which they say could soon enable you to recharge your mobile phone by just holding closer to your heart. A team of researchers at the Georgia Institute of Technology led by Dr. Zhong Lin Wang have developed tiny nanogenerators that use small movements to generate enough power. Five nanogenerators working together produced about one micro ampere output current at 3 volts about the same voltage generated by two regular AA batteries.

CONDUCTING SYSTEM OF HEART

MAIN PRINCIPLE ON THIS TECHNOLOGY . The key to the technology is zinc oxide (ZnO) nanowires. ZnO nanowires are piezoelectric — they can generate an electric current when strained or flexed. That movement can be virtually any body movement, such as walking, a heartbeat, or blood flowing through the body. The nanowires can also generate electricity in response to wind, rolling tires, or many other kinds of movement

DESCRIPTION Lead researcher Zhong Lin Wang from Georgia, said: ‘This development represents a milestone toward producing portable electronics that can be powered by body movements without the use of batteries or electrical outlets. Scientists have figured out that "nanogenerators" powered by your heartbeat could replace conventional batteries in about five years. Additional nanowires and more nanogenerators, stacked together, could produce enough energy for powering larger electronics, such as an iPod or charging a cell phone. Chemists may have discovered a way to charge small electronics, such as iPods and cell phones, with your heartbeat.

HEART PULSE RATE FOR PRODUCING CURRENT The researchers are also hoping to use their technology to scavenge energy from the vibrations of bridges and roads. Paul Lee, the director of technology, media and telecommunications at business consultants Deloitte Research, said: "There are two strands of development in the mobile phone industry which are to either cram as many power hungry applications into a phone as possible or to make a phone as efficient as -possible.

Advantages Easy to charge. power saving. no need of external batteries. less cost. more efficient. time consumption.

APPLICATIONS In IPods and mobile phones. In wrist watches. In walky talky phones.

Conclusion The plan to use the human heart to power these devices, including iPods and mobile phones, eliminating batteries. This Technology will soon be used to charge mobile. This technique by placing it close to the heart and the mobile will be charge.
