Effects of deforestation  million hectares of forest are lost each year  Slash and burn method used to clear land  Clearance of forests emit carbon dioxide into the atmosphere  Emission of co2 leads to the world climate change  11% of global green house gas emissions caused by humans  50% of the tropical protected areas maybe empty forest  It results in the extinction of animal species  The largest iron are mine, pollutes the surroundings rivers causing fish deformities

Purpose of deforestation  Land is used for say plantations, cattle ranching, logging, building dams and mining  The ore mined contains 65.4% iron

Why the deforestation must stop  Water cycling ( rainfall )  Carbon sequestering ( climate )  Biodiversity ( plants, wildlife )

Solution of deforestation  Stop illegal logging  Funding forest conversation  Pressuring corporation and markets  Changing the politics
