Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass Chapters 1-6 Review

Where/When was Frederick Douglass born? Talbot County, Maryland He was not sure of the year, but he believed it was 1818, based on a conversation he overheard.

Describe his relationship with his mother. Her name was Harriet Bailey. He was separated from her shortly after birth She lived 12 miles away She would walk to see him at night after working in the field all day

Who was his father? And Why did it not matter? His first master, Captain Aaron Anthony. By law, the children of slaves, become slaves just like their mothers.
