Lakes A lake is a body of water surrounded by land on every side!!

What is all the blue lines?

Rivers A river is a body of water that flows from high to low elevation. Many Tributaries flow into it.

What are all those small blue lines?

Tributaries A body of water that empties into a larger body of water--- look like veins on a map

On how many sides is the water surrounded by????

Gulf and Bay Gulf- A body of water that is connected to the ocean but surrounded by land on many sides Bays- A body of water surrounded by land on three sides (smaller than a gulf)
