A Surprise Party By: Courtney DeHaven

What would you do if your best friend said, "I don’t think anyone is going to remember my birthday this year. I’m going to have a terrible sweet 16 birthday!”

First, Jordan told her friends, Bob and Brett, that Taylor thought her birthday will be forgotten this year. They planned to go to the fire hall and give her a surprise party.

Bob told Taylor’s parents not to say anything to Taylor about her surprise party, and he gave them an invitation. Second, they started getting the invitations ready so they could send them to everyone.

They got the decorations together. Brett had to go to the store to get more balloons.

New Castle Mart

While Brett was at the store, he ran into Taylor, and she asked him, “Why are you buying birthday decorations?” He had to tell her a fib, “The decorations are for my little sister’s birthday party.” When Brett got back to the fire hall, he had to tell everyone that he ran into Taylor at the store, and how he had fibbed to keep the secret.

Finally, Taylor’s friends decided they would avoid Taylor before the party. Jordan told Bob and Brett that they needed to get the invitations delivered soon because the party was in a week.

Yes, we are coming to the party!

A couple days later, they got all the invitations sent out to everyone. They were just waiting for people to respond if they were coming to Taylor’s party.

While they were waiting for people to call them, they started to plan the menu for the party. They called Taylor’s parents to find out what food they thought Taylor would like to have for her party.

They went to the store to get the food for the party. While they were at the store, they had people call and leave messages about attending the party. Twenty people would becoming to the party!

Taylor’s parents had to secretly get Taylor to the party. Taylor got to the party, and she was very surprised! She loved it a lot and didn’t think she was going to have a sweet sixteen birthday this year. She thanked her friends for planning the best birthday party for her!
