Controlled Emotion- Affects of QuizMaster Agents Sandeep Virwaney Supervisors: Dr Oscar Lin Steve Leung

What is QuizMASter? QuizMASter is a multi-agent system-based educational game that helps students perform adaptive testing and collaborative learning through friendly competition. Conceptually, QuizMASter is designed similar to a TV game show (Example: Jeopardy, Price Is Right)

My Main Goal for QuizMASter Make QuizMASter agents more interesting and appealing to the contestants by giving them the capability to express emotions and enhance their perceived realism.

Theoritical Framework Bailenson, Yee, Blascovich and Guadagno (2008) suggested a social inference theory that behavioral and physical realism is interchangeable. They even implied that it is desirable to sacrifice visual realism in terms of behavioral realism.

Hypothesis H1 - combination of facial expression, gestures and lip-sync will result in higher level of perceived realism
