Year 6 Newsletter
Homework New academic journals- children write out their tasks each week. Literacy and Maths each week (set on a Wednesday, due back in on a Monday) Spelling lists (tests on Monday) Homework tasks- website Additional assignments can be set which can be extended tasks- to be completed in purple project based homework books. Spare homework sheets are kept in the SET teachers homework box.
Behaviour Policy. Consistent behaviour systems across classes and SET groups to allow for clear communication of teacher expectations. This also supports children to make good choices

Maths Arithmetic- one test paper (context- free calculations, formal methods only) Length: 30 minutes Marks: 40 ( 1mark for most questions, 2 marks for long- multiplication and long- division questions). Mathematical reasoning Two test papers Length: 40 minutes per paper Marks: 35 per paper
