Different Christian Views The Methodist Church The Methodist Conference 1987 issued the following statement: 'We affirm that racism is a direct contradiction of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.'

Churches Together In May 1998 the different denominations united and issued the following, as one voice, from 'The Churches Together'. This is an ecumenical movement. 'Respect for the humanity we share with each and every neighbour is the only one basis for a peaceful and good society.
