Presentation transcript:

How did CAC start? Colleges Against Cancer started in 2001 with three college freshman. Their main goal was to get other college students who were also passionate about fighting cancer together to make a change in the world.

Reasons why you should join Cac 1.You get to come together with other people in your college and community to raise money for those who have cancer, the family members of those who have cancer and hope that they will be able to celebrate another birthday.

2. All the money raised goes straight to the American Cancer Society which then goes to cancer research, patient support, prevention information & education, detection and treatment. During 2014, the American Cancer Society has invested about $4.5 million in cancer research in the state of Iowa. About $1.5 million of this research is taking place here at Iowa State!

3. CAC is a nationwide organization that shows that young people care and want to make a difference in the lives of the people around them.

Iowa State Chapter The Iowa State Chapter does different fundraising things throughout the year. We work at basketball games and go to other businesses around Central Iowa to get them to donate too.

Help Us! Whether it’s donating or joining, we could use your help to find a cure for all types of cancer!
