Procedure Steps 1.Employee submits a resignation letter to immediate supervisor and HR 2.HR schedules an appointment with employee for an exit interview a.Collects all college property ex: keys, cell phone, computer, books b.Completes exit interview process form with employee and has employee sign all necessary documentation c.Explain and assist employee with retiree healthcare and retirement benefits (if applicable) 3.Determine remaining vacation and sick leave paid time a.Give pertinent information to payroll coordinator 4.Cancel benefit deductions in Datatel if applicable a.Go to CPBN and enter cancel date and last pay date and update b.Go to TERM and enter termination date and last pay date 5.File any remaining documentation in the personnel file, remove from active employees files and place in inactive files
