Legal Issues with Technology

CIPA: Children’s Internet Protection Act All Public School Systems must have a specific technology that blocks or filters Internet access to visual depictions that are obscene, child pornography, and harmful to minors. All students using the internet at school must sign (and their parents must also sign) an Acceptable Use Policy. All computer use must be monitored at all times (No open labs) Chat rooms must be monitored for every message sent must be monitored for every message sent. More information about CIPA:
