3 2 SAHARAN EXPRESS is a multi-phased exercise composed of two primary phases: (1)In-port multi-lateral Table Top Exercise (TTX), focused primarily MOC to MOC interoperability and exercising the signed agreements in the region. (2)Underway events driven by a complex scenario that supports Maritime Domain Awareness (MDA) and the Automated Identification System (AIS) including interaction between forces afloat and a multiple Maritime Operations Center (MOC) ashore and afloat. (3)Intention of NAVAF will be to plan and mentor. We will begin handing over duties and responsibilities to coalition counterparts.
