 Make smart choices from every food group  Find a balance between food and physical activity  Get the most nutrition out of your calories

 HOW MANY MEALS DO YOU EAT IN A DAY?

 Why is it so important??  Prep the night before.  Make it quick and easy – instant oatmeal, hard-boiled eggs, whole grain muffin, bagel or toast with peanut butter or cheese

 Can you think of any?  Fruit  Veggies  String cheese  Unsalted nuts  Popcorn  yogurt

 Watch portion sizes  Pay attention to how foods are prepared  Add vegetables or fruit  Go easy on toppings – mayo, butter, sour cream, dressings  Don’t drink your calories
