SAM Learning GO! An Overview for Teachers

SAM Learning GO! Objective Raising attainment throughout the school year by providing student and teacher support with an online anytime, anywhere solution.

What it is For Students  Web based exam practice and revision.  Students do and mark their own work.  Improves exam technique, confidence and results.  Anywhere, anytime learning. For Schools  Year round learning.  Effective as supplementary work.  Independent learning – half of all use is outside school hours.  Rich data feedback irrespective of place/time of use.  Test assigning with no marking.  Monitoring of specific cohorts with user defined groups.  Continually updated with new content in line with latest curriculum.

APP The APP support project: work at SAM Learning is currently underway to match our content to APP assessment focuses. This will enable teachers to use the SAM Learning GO! to gather APP evidence throughout the school year

SAM Learning GO! Works Using SAM Learning improves achievement. Target of only 10 task hours per student has measurable impact. Six years of independent research reports by the Fischer Family Trust. For the last exams:  GCSE students improved up to 6.9% in gaining 5+A*-C GCSE passes.  KS3 students improved up to 3.0% in those who achieved core subject L5+.

Setting up the School School is registered and allocated a Centre ID based on postcode and initials. Every academic year, schools send in student data from SIMS.net, CMIS or as a CSV. Students are registered and allocated a User ID and Password based on date of birth and initials. Login using Centre ID and User ID from anywhere at anytime. Separate passwords for teacher and admin accounts.

Implementation Programme Implementation Process Checklist. SAM Learning GO! Accredited Consultant support is offered every year of your service. Half a day onsite to support Leadership team, teachers, teaching assistants and students. Could include assemblies, staff sessions, inset days or after school sessions.
