Why Food Safety is Important? Food Safety is one of the most important topic to talk about these days. If the food safety is not properly done then it can harm the human body from inside or outside. So today we talk about the Food safety. Why it is important and also some exciting facts about the food safety.

In today’s busy life we don’t have time to look out on our health. Everyone busy in their daily schedule. For good health, we have to take healthy foods. So, we have to make sure that the food we are eating is not harmful for us. The food must not be contaminated with harmful viruses, toxins, bacteria, parasites and chemicals. This is the main reason for the most of the diseases which are happen through the food. The food safety depends upon from the farmer’s farm to the consumer’s plate.

It doesn’t matter you are a manufacturer, consumer or distributor, the food chain contains everyone in its process. So, because of the food globalization, the food contaminations which are occurring in one place can affect the health of the consumers on the other side of the planet. That’s why we are discussing about the food safety because it is one of the most important thing which matters a lot for the human health. Thus, it is necessary to learn the safe food handling practice for everyone.

Here are some Exciting facts on food safety Food Borne diseases are the main problem which occurs due to the lack of food safety. Stomach pain, loose motions and vomiting are the common symptoms of the food borne disease. The contaminated food can cause the long term health problems. The contaminated food with naturally occurring toxins or with heavy metals can be a reason for the long term diseases including neurological disorders and cancer.

Many people fall ill every year just because a result of eating unsafe food. It also be a reason for the death of lot of peoples every year. According to the reports more than 1.5 million children die annually because of the Diarrheal diseases. The water and the food is the basic needs of the human body. The main reason for the illness is contaminated water and food. Many reports have proved that the proper preparation of food can prevent the most food borne diseases. So it become necessary to learn about the food safety practices.

The contaminated food can affect the health of the people who has fragile or poor health status. These people can easily lead to the serious illness and death instead of the people with good health, for example, sick, pregnant woman and the elders. So its necessary to take care the peoples more then the normal person. The preparation of food and the water which we are giving to them has to be good. We can say that the food borne diseases are commonly spread in vulnerable people rather than the other groups.

The tasks of food suppliers are not easy these days. There are different stages in the supply tasks like harvesting or slaughtering, on farm production, storage, processing, transport and distribution before the food reaches to the customers. If any of these stages they lack then that will be the reason for the food spoilage. The globalization has also made the food safety more complex. The trade and food production has made the food chain complicated and longer.

To improve the food safety, we have to make use of the best available technology and science. Food Safety is a shared responsibility where industry, governments, producers and consumers can play their roles. The food safety can be achieved by getting the expertise in different disciplines like microbiology, toxicology, nutrition, parasitological, health economics, veterinary and human medicine. The school education, women’s groups and the local communities can also play an important role. How We can Improve the Food Safety

Consumers have to be well informed about the food safety practices. They can play more important role in food safety by getting all information about the food safety and wise food choices. Wise food choices means to buy good food and use the food before the food spoilage. Food safety also depends on good food habits which makes an impact in food safety. They should know about how to handle the food safety and common food hazards, by using the information which is provided in the food labeling.
