FACTS ABOUT SEA TURTLES One of the earth’s most ancient creatures. Seven species of sea turtles.species Cannot retract their legs and head into their shells like other turtles. Diet includes jellyfish, seaweed, crabs, shrimp, sponges, snails, algae and mollusks Spend most of their lives in water

Sea turtles nesting Female turtles leave the water and go to the shore to lay eggs. They dig out a nest in the ground with their back flippers. They bury their clutch of eggs ( eggs) and return to the ocean. When the young hatch out of their eggs it can take up to one week to dig themselves out. They make their way to the ocean.
