2. Habitat Warm oceans and seas. Adult turtles spend most of their time in shallow, coastal waters with lush sea grass beds and meadows.

3. Birth Mating takes place by the shore To make a nest the females go back to the beach they were born on. They dig the nest with their big thick flippers and they lay up to 100-200 eggs. It takes two months for the eggs to hatch. The journey to the sea is the most dangerous part of a green sea turtles life.

4. Adaptations Hard shell for protection from predators such as: sharks and sea gulls on shore Sharp beak for snipping Plants (green turtles are herbivores.) Paddle shaped front flippers for powerful pushing in the water (they can swim more than 2000 miles a year!!)

5. Endangered species They get killed for their meat and eggs. They get trapped in fishing-nets and drown. They get caught in boat propellers and die Humans build on their nesting grounds
