Please go to…

Primary Goals Connect workforce development data to community college planning. –Determine appropriateness of analysis –Spatialize workforce data Create quality graphics, analysis, and recommendations for State Board of Education

Methodology Perform density analysis of Oregon Population and compare to CC locations Select appropriate job set for pilot analysis Create database of OLMIS job data Display OLMIS data in map form Calculate relative importance in ArcGIS. Compare data  recommendations Determine future direction

Findings Job importance, and therefore required funding, are not entirely dependent on Pop Job types requiring a high concentration of similar industry are concentrated in populated workforce regions Regions 5, 6, and 10 (Lane, Douglas, and central OR counties, respectively) are locations of most development Eastern Oregon lacks population and industry to warrant continued funding

Future Plans Integrate CC specific coursework (#classes and enrollment) data to determine current training contributions Integrate migration (personnel) data –Make analysis more dynamic and representative of training contributions not related to jobs within respective regions
