MISSION AND PROGRAM INTEGRATION (MAPI) CONTRACT | 2 Purpose/Agenda Purpose: Provide updated status on Russian modules, including MLM, Node and SPM. MISSION AND PROGRAM INTEGRATION (MAPI) CONTRACT | 3 Multipurpose Laboratory Module (MLM) Overview: Designed to support Russian payloads, Russian ECLSS, crew quarters and stowage locations. Will dock to Service Module (SM) Nadir port (in place of DC-1) –DC1 will be undocked from SM by departing Progress after MLM launch Status: Metal & Non-metal contaminants found in prop system (4Q 2013) MLM transferred from RSC-E testing facility to Khrunichev manufacturing facility (Dec 2013) Cleaning and repairs are underway Contam levels for external payloads from MLM have been completed by ENV team –No exceedances identified Final testing and launch prep at Baikonur launch facility will take 9 months Launch date: NET May 2017

MISSION AND PROGRAM INTEGRATION (MAPI) CONTRACT | 4 Node Module Overview: Pressurized module designed to facilitate expansion of the ISS RS Will dock to MLM Nadir port Status: Currently located at RSC-E testing facility –Node will remain at test facility until MLM transfer to Baikonur launch site Launch date: MLM launch + 6 months –Currently scheduled NET Nov 2017

MISSION AND PROGRAM INTEGRATION (MAPI) CONTRACT | 5 Science Power Module (SPM) Overview: Designed to provide power and additional scientific resources to the Russian segment Will soft dock to Node Nadir, then be relocated to a lateral port via SPM robotic arm Final docked position on Node is TBD –Existing protocol signed by NASA and RSC-E states Node port –Not yet signed by Roscosmos Status: RSC-E has agreed to Node port location with gyrodynes Roscosmos would have to approve and fund the addition of the gyrodynes for this to occur Preliminary contam levels for SPM show possible exceedances at ELC 1, 3 & 4; JEM EF 2, 4 & 6; Columbus SDN, SDX & SOX Launch date: NET 2020

MISSION AND PROGRAM INTEGRATION (MAPI) CONTRACT | 8 Russian Module Status Summary MLM and Node launch delays will slip TEA range updates to NET mid-2017 –Further updates to launch date will occur once MLM propellant system cleaning and repairs are closer to completion Contamination levels for external payloads from MLM have been completed by environments team –No exceedances identified Contamination levels for Node and SPM are in work by environments team –Completion date TBD SPM launch date is now NET 2020 Discussions with NASA and Roscosmos on SPM final dock location are ongoing –Final decision will be released via SPM integration CR
