Pan American Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (PAIIE) A Presentation to the: November 14 & 15, 2013

“Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Key to Progress” The API/APAE/PAAE leads to voice the importance of engineering, which, through products and services that compete in the open market, supports economic and social development, and ensures the quality of life, civil infrastructure and production systems, and facilities In additiion, critical times dictate policy-makers accept the value of engineering in solving local, national, and regional problems. Finally, human & economic benefits depend on education, innovation, entrepreneurship, and sound policy decisions.

In response to these challenges, The Academy would like to invite the OAS, through the OAS Working Groups, to join the Academy in the development and promotion of The PAIIE was formally established in August 19th, 2013, with headquarters collocated with The Academy (Palacio de Mineria, Mexico City, Mexico) Logistic Support in its early stages will be provided by the College of Architecture at Texas A&M University (College Station, Texas, USA) The Pan American Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (PAIIE)

Through PAIIE, The Academy is committed to supporting: … The vision and mission of the Organization of American States (OAS) and of its Working Groups … The vision and mission of the Inter-American Committee of Science and Technology (COMCYT) … The goals of the Engineering for the Americas (EftA) initiative … The goals of Plan of Action of Panama: “Translational Science, Technology and Innovation: Knowledge for Competitiveness and Prosperity”
