The 6 Characteristics of Life By: Jaclyn and Hallie

Living Things have Cells  All living things have cells.  Fetuses have these cells.

Sense and Respond to Stimuli  A change that affects the activity of the organism. ( Example: Heat, Cold, and a traffic light)  The human body is always responding and adjusting to changes in the environment.

Reproduce  Organisms make other organisms look alike.  Sexual Reproduction- two parents produce off spring  Asexual Reproduction- One parent produces off spring that are identical to their parent.

Have DNA  Living things have DNA  DNA is hereditary to humans and almost all other living things.

Use Energy  Organisms use energy to carry out the activities of life.  Organisms use energy to move.
