What is Σ ? The Greek letter Σ (Sigma) equates to the “S” as in Services In mathematics it is the operator for summation, e.g., the cumulative adding of a sequence.

Project Sigma Project Sigma will define, specify, create and implement publishing and curation services that are supported by repository infrastructure. These services encompass a wide range of activity, including outreach, consultation, policy development, training, content stewardship, and technology. These services will be implemented throughout and will be marketed as a cohesive suite by Fall 2012.

Content/Service AreaPossible/Probable Pilot Projects Distribution, submission & review workflow for student theses, dissertations, and related capstone projects. Providing service for programs in Engineering, EMS, Communication, Agriculture. Distribution of a range of research products by students & faculty, including individual pre-prints, papers, presentations, etc Graduate Student Exhibition Publication and editorial support for journals, conference proceedings, monographs, research reports, or other type materials. Graduate Student Exhibition Migrating DPubS materials Deposit, curation, and distribution of research data in all forms.
